I’m Betsy. I’m a holistic nurse, graduate-level trained integrative health and wellbeing coach, Reiki practitioner, and astrology aficionado.

I’ve been obsessed with astrology since 2001.

Like many gen X/elder millenials, I lived and breathed by one moment every Wednesday: when the still-hot stack of weekly syndicate newsprint magazines dropped, carrying Rob Brezny’s Free Will Astrology column. Then one day, a beautiful woman drew my astrology chart out for me (by hand!) and it was game over.

Over the years…ah, the astrology books, the articles, the podcasts, the classes, the lectures and workshops, the readings with various astrologers! And I’ve been so fortunate to attract legit astrologer loved ones into my orbit, people I've worked with formally as a student/client and learned from by geeking out with them, and following their work.

Recently though, it’s gotten more serious.

I started informally offering astrology sessions in 2023 to my friends and family network, and it snowballed. I’ve since done dozens upon dozens of “astro vibe sessions” with all kinds of people, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I trained in an Evolutionary Astrology Intensive course with Sabrina Monarch in 2024 to deepen my studies.

All the while, the language of astrology has been finding its way into my professional coaching and energy work sessions. It’s logical, really.

Astrology is ultimately a symbolic language, a portal to exploration through myth, archetypes, and storytelling. Story and imagery, it turns out, are powerful coaching tools: they help the brain access transformative states not available through rational thought alone.

To me, the question of whether astrology is “real” or “true” is far less compelling than the questions we get to explore through its archetypes. The signs and the planetary bodies hold their own mythopoetic significance that can enrich our understanding of ourselves and the world we inhabit— of consciousness itself. Is a folktale “real”? Is a poem “true?” What’s important is the meaning we can make from immersing ourselves in the symbols, images, and the stories they hold. 

A key role of a holistic nurse and integrative coach is to meet clients where they’re at…and I’ve seen firsthand that for more and more people, astrology is proving a valuable source of insight in our increasingly uncertain times. I’ve been asked many times at MN Integrative Health Studio, “when are you going to put astrology sessions on the books?” I finally have an answer. The time is now! AKA when Neptune and Saturn move into Aries :)

I’m thrilled to share this offering with you. Astrology Insights brings in the four pillars of health coaching (mindful presence, authentic communication, self-awareness, safe and sacred space) to create a relaxed, rich, nurturing, and fun conversation for exploring your birth chart and/or other astrology-related discovery.

A “coaching-style conversation” means: I share with you what I know about the astrological archetypes present in your birth chart and/or current transits, and I’m honoring you as your own best expert. I’m not telling you who you are; I’m creating space for you to discover more of who you are through the language of astrology. My goal is for you to leave the session with greater appreciation, curiosity, and wonder, than you arrived with—about yourself, your life journey, and our extraordinary universe.
